Installing Openbravo ERP

Okay, it’s 12:23am but what the hey, I’ve been meaning to do this the past few days so I’ll start doing it.

I had to download a few things. So right now I’m installing the J2SE development kit 5.0. I have no idea really what it is but it’s taking a while. I was wondering whether to install it as per normal in C:/program files, but then i thought maybe i’d clear a drive for it. Either way, I guess it doesn’t matter so I put it in my program files folder. Wondering about installing ubuntu later so i may need a whole drive, but im really not very sure!!! heh

Apache.
It seems Windows XP is quite troublesome for all these things…tried installing Apache Ant but can’t seem to figure out how to do it as there is no executable file! bah…

Update - okay, after much deliberation it turns out you have to do quite a painful process for Apache Ant installation, which I’m obviously too lazy to do. So i found this site where you can download a installer!By this guy called Mason Simon. Awesome… trying it now.Hmm seems to have worked, now have to log out. One thing is the JDK folder, i’m not too sure if i got that right. Is JDK the same as jsm?? man… let’s log out and try.

Okay, having the same problems installing this on Windows XP… man this stuff really is more suited for Linux! Anyway… let’s see. Seems that it involves something called Cygwin:
