Okay, so I finally figured out what was wrong. You cannot use postgresql 8.3 for Openbravo! You must use something lower, in my case I used postgresql 8.2.5 and it works perfectly. I kinda figured that out when the installation process took so long, must a good sign!

Anyway, had some fears about Tomcat 6.0 not working properly, but it all seems to be okay, just let it run when you open it, because mine had an error at first but then it worked fine. Man I’m so pleased with myself for getting this running. Now I’m going to go to a computer store and make a new computer which I can partition to use Ubuntu. Must play with Openbravo for a while first.

So, just remember, postgresql 8.2.5. Apache Tomcat 6.0 works fine. JDK 5. Apache Ant (use the windows installer!)
